U.S. Bank to Invest in Employees, Community and Customers as a Result of Tax Reform Package

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 2, 2018-- U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), parent company of U.S. Bank, announced investments today in its employees, the U.S. Bank Foundation and several strategic projects as a result of the tax reform package. Management has made the following decisions:

  • A special $1,000 bonus for nearly 60,000 employees;
  • Raising minimum wage to $15 for all hourly employees;
  • A one-time $150 million contribution to the U.S. Bank Foundation;
  • Enhancements to employees' health care offerings effective for the 2019 enrollment period; and
  • An additional investment in strategic projects centered on the customer experience with an emphasis on digital and mobile capabilities.


"We believe that tax reform is positive for the U.S. economy because it provides an immediate opportunity to benefit our employees, our communities and our customers," said Andy Cecere, President and Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Bancorp. U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Hires Cameron Munden as Business Development Officer

LONDON – Dec. 21, 2017 — U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust has hired Cameron Munden as business development officer for its global corporate trust sales group. Munden has worked in the corporate trust business for more than 16 years, most recently as senior sales manager for Citibank. Prior to that he held a similar role at BNP Paribas Securities Services. Munden holds a bachelor of engineering from the University of West England.

In his role with U.S. Bank, Munden will be responsible for new business development throughout Europe. He will be located in U.S. Bank's London office.

U.S. Bank names Kevin Weeks head of global sales for its corporate & institutional trust groups

MINNEAPOLIS – June 12, 2017— U.S. Bank has announced that Kevin Weeks has been named head of global sales for its corporate and institutional trust services groups.  Weeks most recently served as head of Issuer Services for Deutsche Bank, and prior to that as global head of sales for Institutional Cash & Securities Services at Deutsche Bank. He is based in New York and will lead an experienced team of corporate trust and custody business development professionals in the United States and Europe.

As the global head of sales at Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for developing and managing the sales strategy for corporate trust, depository services, cash management for financial institutions, domestic custody, agency securities lending and alternative fund services.
